Grace is now mobile! Over the last few weeks Grace has figured out how to scoot across the floor to get what she wants. Unfortunately for the dog, she usually wants to come over and pester him. She is working on standing by herself with just a little support, and one of her favorite things to do is be taken for walks with Mom or Dad holding on to her hands. Here comes little Miss Indepedent!

This humble little blog is for family and friends to track the progress of our little Grace born early at 26 weeks with an omphalocele and Beckwith-Wiedemann Syndrome.
I originally named this blog "Born Unto Trouble" after a quote from Job 5:7 that my father continually reminds me of during challenging times: "Man is born unto trouble as the sparks fly upwards." -Job 5:7
We have since renamed it after a poem by James Fenton: For I Was Born To A Kiss And A Smile ..." Also provided by my father, and much more appropriate to express the joy we feel in having Grace in our lives.
