I can't believe it has been this long since I updated. Sorry. Grace received 3 days of antibiotics and seems to be doing better. In fact, we are off to the hospital this morning to pick her up. This of course assumes that she hasn't done anything crazy overnight like spike a fever or something. We are itching to have her home. I will post at the end of the day to let you know what has happened.
We are also going to lend support to our friends the Parkers. Their daughter Hope will be undergoing her heart surgery today. They have been a wonderful support to us and we hope we can be as supportive of them as they have been for us.

This humble little blog is for family and friends to track the progress of our little Grace born early at 26 weeks with an omphalocele and Beckwith-Wiedemann Syndrome.
I originally named this blog "Born Unto Trouble" after a quote from Job 5:7 that my father continually reminds me of during challenging times: "Man is born unto trouble as the sparks fly upwards." -Job 5:7
We have since renamed it after a poem by James Fenton: For I Was Born To A Kiss And A Smile ..." Also provided by my father, and much more appropriate to express the joy we feel in having Grace in our lives.
